Director of Fitness and Wellness

Philosophy:
Being healthy is not just being able to run 3 miles or lift 10 lbs. Truly being healthy involves looking at the big picture, and practicing a healthy well rounded lifestyle.

 

Janice Flanigan
Fitness and Wellness Coordinator

Post University, Waterbury

Certifications:
AFAA Group Exercise, ACE Personal Training, Physical Mind Institute Pilates, Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours), CPR- and AED-Certified.

Philosophy:
I believe we can continue to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually all of our lives. Being physically active is essential to how we can continue to grow and achieve higher health status. We will always have options in how we can better ourselves. Try something new, be versatile, be happy and most importantly, smile and laugh a lot!

My passion for sports and health began at the age of 7, and over the years, I’ve developed a strong belief in a holistic approach to well-being. I am deeply passionate about health and believe in the importance of aligning the mind, body, and soul. Prioritizing overall health and well-being is key to achieving balance, vitality, and lasting success.

Philosophy:
Sara is a certified 500-hour Embodyoga(R) yoga instructor and registered teacher trainer with Yoga Alliance. Sara also is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Self-Discovery and Self-Care are so important and valuable for your body, mind, and soul. Sara brings together the physicality and spirituality in a holistic practice.
