A New Chapter for Seabury and Pomperaug Woods

Pomperaug Woods & Seabury Receive Final Regulatory Approval for Affiliation

We are thrilled to share that all required regulatory approvals from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, Department of Social Services, and the Office of the Attorney General have been received, and our affiliation with Pomperaug Woods is officially moving forward. 

This is a milestone we have been looking forward to since the affiliation was first announced in December 2025, and we could not be more excited about what it means for both communities. 

At its heart, this affiliation is about strengthening something that already works. Pomperaug Woods has built a remarkable culture, a trusted reputation, and a deep commitment to the people it serves. Seabury brings operational expertise, strategic leadership, and decades of experience in senior living to help ensure that legacy grows stronger for years to come. Together, we are better positioned than ever to deliver on our shared mission of serving older adults in Connecticut with compassion, integrity, and excellence. 

For residents, families, and staff, the transition will be seamless. Existing residency agreements remain in place, daily operations and services continue without interruption, and the leadership, programs, and care that Pomperaug Woods residents count on will remain consistent throughout. Over the coming months, the community will begin to experience meaningful enhancements including a campus refresh, infrastructure improvements, and enhancements to culinary and dining services. 

We are committed to transparent communication every step of the way and look forward to building on the strong foundation that Pomperaug Woods has established for its residents and community.
