Educational Opportunities

Educational opportunities are abundant with many colleges and prep schools in the immediate area. Seabury has many college level courses from which to choose, offered right on our campus. The Adult Learning Program (ALP), an affiliate of Road Scholar and sponsored by the University of Connecticut, is hosted at Seabury. For more information, including a current seminar list, visit www.uconnalp.org or email alp@uconn.edu

Sports Abound

Sports abound in the Greater Hartford Area, whether for spectator viewing or active participation. The University of Connecticut (UConn) men's and women's basketball teams of the Big East Conference have a devoted following and have won 15 combined national championships. The UConn football team is an FBS Independent and plays its home games at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. The Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League plays at the XL Center in Hartford. The International Skating Center in Simsbury is where Olympic stars are made, and the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship is held at TPC River Highlands in nearby Cromwell. Whether you are looking for down hill or cross country skiing, tennis, golf, paddle tennis, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming or boating, there are a multitude of sports/recreational opportunities available.

Physical Activity & Fitness

Seabury has extensive walking trails, and many nature preserves and parks are located nearby. A pool, spa, fitness center with strength and aerobic machines, fitness classroom, dance and Pilates studios and therapeutic massage suite are part of Seabury's "wellness for life" initiative.
